| | I want to go to Paris for about 5 to 6 days in late Nov or in Dec, to Paris Center and also Paris Disneyland, anyone have tips for Accomodation, Tourist Attractions.....etc? I want to go to Versailles (used to be the Palace for the French King), does anyone know how long in average (hours) you will stay in there?
What's the must go and play items in the paris disneyland?

| | 我也想去玩，我知道有家青年旅馆3个人35偶，一个晚上，就在euroline车站旁边，对面就是家乐福，所以吃住行都不成问题，但是无论你是3个人还是1个人，住宿是一样的钱。有没有人有兴趣？大家凑齐3个人，白天可以自由活动或者结伴走，自由行比跟团合算。我们可以做大巴过去。从鹿特丹或阿姆斯特丹走，第一天晚上正好在车上，最后一天晚上回来也在车上。

| | I went to the travel agencies, got many booklets about Paris, with hotel prices, in those booklets, they have packages (train/plane tickets + hotels), but not so many tours, and i also wonder if i join tour, they speak Dutch, and i don't understand much...haha, so it won't be fun for me and I prefer to plan my travel route myself, so i can go places that i really want to go.
Going there by bus are the cheapest, train and plane tickets are pretty much the same price, and train can be more expensive than plane, but flying you need to pay airport tax, etc. I think i will choose train as it's more comfortable than bus and you can see some nice view on the train.
Overall, Packages are quite good for me, some hotels have promotion, like if you stay there for 4 nights, then u only need to pay 3 nights, some even if u stay for 3 nights, u only pay 2 nights. If you choose hotels under 2 stars, don't expect the included breakfast will be nice or can really make you full, maybe you need to buy extra things to eat outside. Other than that, i saw some 2 stars hotels look pretty nice and also close to some attractions.
Going there during Xmas, some of the packages can be more expensive, but I also saw some are still the same price as the normal seasons, if your lucky, maybe you can see the white Xmas in Paris. :-)

| | 我现在正准备论文，没有课，所以我的时间很随便。2星级旅馆多少钱一个晚上？说实话我夏天去南欧，住的8个晚上的4星级宾馆。但因为白天出去玩，回来的晚，很累，洗过澡就休息，真没有享受贵宾待遇。所以这次心里有点想住便宜的青年旅馆。3个人，35偶，睡一晚上觉，也不干什么别的了。你知道火车多少钱往返吗？时间怎么安排？最好有一个晚上在车上。

| | Here's the website of the train co. THALYS, it has the timetable and fares.

It will take about 4 hours from AMS to Paris by train. They also have trains depart from Den Haag, rotterdam and schiphol. Fares varies with which class you choose and also what time you want to take the train. So it's better you have a look at their site.It mentions all those details in the site.
The Youth hotels you mentioned, is bathroom and toilet included in the same
room? or u need to share with others? If it's 35 euro for the whole room, it's very cheap!!
Those 2 stars hotel,comparatively cheap one,are about 50 to 60 euro per night. I suggest you go to the travel agencies, and get as much as booklets as you can to compare prices.

| | Haha....buying cheap disneyland tickets, i also want that, just don't know where i can buy it, so i bought mine in the travel agency, i will go there for one day, the pirce is 39 euro, it's not included the Walt Disney Studios. I'm not going to stay in the hotel in Disneyland as most places i want to go are in the Paris Centre, so i choose hotel in Paris centre. It will take about 40 mins from paris centre to disneyland by train. If you are a big fan of disney characters, it's better you stay there longer. hehe, but for me, one day...should be enough! I planned to go there on Nov 30, so if you haven't started yr trip yet, i can tell you more after i'm back. Oh..one more thing, i went to their website, and u can ask for a brochure from it, there will have some more info about the hotels in disney......or just go to the local travel agent. Have fun!!

| | Hi, everybody!
Finally back from Paris, I feel pretty exhausted by this trip.
I stayed there for 6 days, been to most of the tourist attractions and shopping streets.....now I have a conclusion, I don't like Paris as much as I thought...hehe, well, hope it won't affect those people who are going to Paris.......but it's really the first time and after travelling to some other countries, I don't have any initiative going back there for a second visit. haha....I went there with my friend, and on the first night in the hotel, we already thought about going back home..
Paris, a nice place for shopping, have most of the famous brands you want, if your a brands shopper. I like their clothing, that's also one of the reason I wanted to go there. I like their language, but.....haha....I hate those French people there. You can say that they are the species of arrogant, stubborn and also lazy in the human history! If you go to Paris, you have to prepare yourself that you will be looked or even starred by French ppl. Especially guys to guys, girls to girls....somehow can make you feel quite unconfortable. It's a fashionable city, when you walk passing by them, they will check you out from head to toes, what brands you are wearing, the colouring, is it match....etc...haha... now i think about it, it's funny though, but this "watching monkeys culture", really not my cup of tea, somehow i think that it's quite impolite and rude.
French (language), you can hardly find French ppl that can speak english. In the hotel, all the channels are in their own language, even movies from America or some other english speaking countries, they just change it into French. One funny thing, one night i was almost going to sleep, the tv in the hotel room was on.....I saw Russel Crow (actor from Galdiator) speaking French.....and i thought...huh.....he can speak French...haha..and finally i found out his mouth was not moving at the same time as the audio....French ppl, even watching a movie, still don't want to learn other languages. Well, that can understand, maybe it's easier for them, but in most of the tourist attractions, especially in the Louvre Museum, you will expect that those explanations next to the exhibitions have english.......but no....sorry, only French..so ridiculous! It's a world famous museum, so many tourists from over the world go there everyday and they don't even have english or other lang.
Disneyland, if you are not a big fan of disney characters, I repeat...haha, IF YOU ARE NOT A BIG FAN OF DISNEY CHARACTERS, don't go there, well, even you are a big fan of disney, there's not much too see, but still for a whole family with kids, it's not really that bad. I highly recommend you don't book hotels in disney or near there......better book in the center of Paris. I'm so glad i didn't book hotel there, coz from disney to center, it takes about 40 mins by train...quite waste of time. Overall, I expected more from disneyland before i go there.....but well, it's just a theme park with a brand, other than that, it's not such a big deal!
The night view in Paris center is pretty nice, but during the day and you look at the same building again.....wow...you can find lots of dirt and ugly things on the buildings. Eiffel Tower, when you look at it from a distance, it's pretty small, but when your really inside the building....it's quite big and huge...hehe....and you will also find it looks pretty ugly when you look at it in a closer distance....
There's still lots of things I can talk about....but I'm afraid ppl who are reading this will be sleeping already.....haha....better stop now!
Anyhow, I suggest you go there during summer time, coz at this moment, most of the attractions are now under refurbishing, you will find one part of Arc de Triomphe is missing, the middle part of Eiffel Tower has sth surrounding it... Notre Dame is closed on the left.....etc....but I think there will be a big Sale for Xmas in those shopping centre soon.
Haha....anyway, wish you good luck when you go to Paris and I hope you will "like" it!
